The unassuming shape of this summery top puts all the focus on the architectural details on top, created by sloping 2-by-2 rib columns throughout the front and back of the piece. The effortlessness of this bottom-up tank cannot be overstated – it can be worn as a standalone piece or with a tee or a blouse as a vest.
Clever details, such as split hem and I-cord edging of the neck, give the Irvine Top its modern look.
The yarn I used for this design, Miss Babs Killington, a DK weight blend of non-superwash Polwarth wool and Tussah silk comes in generous 700-yard skeins, so you will need just 2 skeins for your top.
