Needles
Size US 4/3.5 mm: 32”/80 cm circular.
Size US 3/3.25 mm: 24”/60 cm circular and set of double-pointed needles.
Optional: one more Size US 3/3.25 mm 24”/60 circular needle.
Circular needle is used for large number of stitches.
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions
Stitch markers, stitch holders, tapestry needle, waste yarn, 5 or 6 buttons 7/16”/11 mm in diameter (preferably shank buttons).
Gauge
26 stitches and 34 rows = 4”/10 cm in Stockinette stitch or charted patterns on US 4/3.5 mm needle.
Notes
- The upper front along with sleeves is worked back and forth, starting at the shoulder line. Shoulders are shaped, using short-rows. After front/sleeves completion, shoulder live stitches are used for each Right and Left back/sleeves. The pieces then joined and the lower body is worked in one piece to the lower edge.
- Under-sleeve stitches are joined using Kitchener stitch.
- Stitches for each back border are picked up along the vertical edges of the back. The top short sides of each border are sewn into the top shoulders.
